Water reclamation is a vital, energy-intensive municipal service that must operate 24/7, regardless of utility price spikes. To shield local taxpayers from rising energy costs, the Fox River Water Reclamation District installed a 1,000kW storage system paired with 300kW of solar. This configuration allows the facility to store solar energy produced during the day and discharge it during the evening when grid prices are highest.
