As a global manufacturer of grid-power equipment, G&W Electric required an energy solution that was as advanced as the products they sell. They constructed a state-of-the-art industrial microgrid featuring a 2,000kW flow battery and a 1,300kVA flywheel. While the 2,000kW solar array provides clean power, the storage system acts as the "brain" and "shield," protecting the factory’s sensitive manufacturing equipment from micro-outages and voltage flickers. This project proves that high-tech manufacturing can thrive on the clean energy grid while simultaneously selling excess capacity back to the market to offset costs.
