CHICAGO, IL – Intelligent Generation (IG), a leader in smart energy management software, announces the appointment of Ben Bezark as Senior Program Manager. In this role, Bezark will collaborate with IG’s technology team to execute the company’s platform development roadmap and accelerate the deployment of distributed energy solutions.

Although Bezark is officially joining the internal team, he has been a core contributor to Intelligent Generation’s development for several years. In his previous capacity as Director at Greenleaf Advisors, one of IG’s key strategic partners, Bezark served as a consultant across numerous roles. His deep institutional knowledge of IG’s mission and technology ensures a seamless transition into this senior leadership position.
Deep Expertise in Sustainability and Systems
Bezark brings over a decade of experience in scaling climate solutions and operational systems:
- Operational Scale: At the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, he led IT systems and certification management, scaling the program to include thousands of products and companies globally.
- Industry Standards: He has been a contributing member of the Open Footprint Forum (emissions data standards) and the Energy Storage Solutions Consortium (environmental accounting for battery storage).
- Strategic Advisory: His work at Greenleaf Advisors focused on helping enterprises adopt renewable energy, mitigate climate risk, and implement green infrastructure.
Educational Background
Bezark holds an M.S. in Product Design and Development Management from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Community Development and Applied Economics from the University of Vermont. His unique blend of technical systems management and product development expertise will be instrumental as Intelligent Generation continues to scale its platform.
